What we collect

BASEbloc collects the information you choose to provide, such as your wallet address, email address, and mobile phone number. We collect this information only when you explicitly submit it—for example, when you RSVP to an event, claim a pass, or save contact preferences in your profile.

Your wallet address is used as your BASEbloc identity. Email and phone numbers are optional and are only used to send you event and community updates you have agreed to receive.

How we use your information

  • To operate the BASEbloc platform and authenticate your identity via your wallet.
  • To send event updates and community communications through the channels you consent to.
  • To help event organizers understand aggregate reachability for their events.
  • To maintain a record of your consent choices and any suppression requests.

Wallet identity

Your wallet address is a public identifier. We use it to associate your BASEbloc activity with your account. We do not ask for or store private keys or wallet seeds.

Event and community communications

Event organizers may use BASEbloc to send updates about their events. You choose whether to receive these updates by email or SMS, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Even without providing contact information, you can still attend events and use most BASEbloc features.

Email consent

Before we send you marketing or event-related emails, we require your explicit consent and a verified email address. Consent is collected separately for each event and channel and is recorded with the exact language shown to you, the time of consent, and the purpose.

Optional contact submission

Providing an email address or phone number is optional. If you choose not to provide contact information, you may miss event updates but will not lose access to event attendance, passes, or other core features.

Suppression and unsubscribe

You can stop receiving emails or SMS messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, visiting your contact preferences, or emailing us. When you unsubscribe, we add your wallet address to a suppression list so future messages through that channel are not sent.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to operate messaging and infrastructure, including Resend for email delivery and Twilio for SMS delivery. These providers process contact information only on our behalf and in accordance with this policy.

Data retention

We keep contact information and consent records for as long as needed to provide the service, honor suppression requests, and maintain audit records. Verification codes expire automatically and are not retained after use.

Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact the BASEbloc team through the channels listed on the BASEbloc platform.
